Ovens

For light soil on an oven door, use dishwashing liquid or a mild all-purpose detergent and hot water. Do not use an abrasive powder, abrasive pad, or steel wool. Clean oven shelves in the dishwasher, or hand wash them. Always follow manufactuter's care instructions before cleaning the oven's interior. The type of oven you own will determine how you clean it.

Windows

How frequently you need to clean your windows depends on where you live, but the insides usually need cleaning twice a year. Wash windows on a cloudy day or when the windows are in the shade because direct sun will cause streaking. We recommend using a sponge, a rubber squeegee, a chamois cloth, and a commercial cleaning solution.

Artificial Flowers

Dust frequently with a hair dryer set on low prevents buildup that can become hard to remove. To clean safely, without using water, pour some salt into a plastic bag, put the flower heads down in the bag, and shake. Place a nylon stocking over a vacuum nozzle and gently remove the salt, which will have absorbed the dirt from the flowers.

China and Porcelain

It's best to wash fine china and porcelain pieces by hand using a mild dishwashing detergent. Be sure to place a towel in the sink to prevent chipping.
